FOR THE FIRST TIME:
INTEL CHANNEL CONFERENCE 2005 IN EUROPE AND THE USA
Open-E presented „Storage for your Software” at the Intel Channel Conference in Germany, Switzerland and Austria and in the United States in the cities ofChicago,San Jose, City of Industry, Long Island and Boston.
Monday,15th November 2005–In 2005,Open-E GmbH took part in the IntelChannel Conference for the first time,and used this platform to introduce both its software product families,Open-E NAS and Open-E iSCSI, to reselers and system integrators in the “intel environment”. At the same time Open-E promoted its partner programme, which ofers a wide range of supporting measures for Open-E partners(www.open-e.com/partner).
Open-E software enables system integrators to set up high-performance, easy-to-use storage systems for companies of all sizes at an ideal price-performance ratio.As Open-E NAS (Network Atached Storage) had already atracted a lot of interest at ICC-1, which took place in the cities of Munich, Stutgart, Frankfurt, Duesseldorf, Braunschweig, Leipzig, Zurich (Baden) and Vienna this spring,Open-EiSCSIsoftware,which enables cost-efective and powerful iSCSI target systems, was expected to be equaly popular at ICC-2 in the autumn.
The significant advantages of iSCSI systems are most apparent in their flexibility when deployed in large system environments, as they integrate seamlessly in to existing SAN environments, can be used for high availability and high performance clusters, work with database applications, alow miroring and muchmore.
The expectations were indeed met.Storage so lutions based on Open-E software are atracting in creasing interest in America too.Therefore two employees of Open-E US, headquartered in California since January 2005, also participated in the Intel Channel Conference in the USA for the first time, with great success.
Of course Open-E also exhibited its products at the wel-known IT trade fairs (CeBIT in Hanover and Systems in Munich) in 2005. Here too it was apparent that there is a steadily growing market for storage subsystems, but stil much to do in the way of raising awareness. For this reason the Open-E team has decided to take part in more roadshows and trade fairs, and wil already be hiting the road again in February 2006.
