OPEN-E ENTERS INTO DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH CONDRE STORAGE
Eden Prairie, MN. and Munich, Germany – March 21, 2006—Open-E., a global leader of network storage software, has entered into a distribution agreement with Condre Storage, a distributor and integrator of computer hardware and software with a specific product focus in data storage.
Open-E software enables system integrators to set up high performance, easy-to-use storage systems for companies of all sizes at an ideal price performance ratio. The significant advantages of these iSCSI and NAS systems are apparent in their flexibility when deployed in large system environments. They integrate seamlessly into existing SAN environments, can be used for high availability and high performance clusters, work with database applications, allow mirroring and much more.

Open-E will be introducing a new product line at CeBIT 2006. The network-attached storage (NAS) software “Open-E NAS-XSR” offers greater flexibility in addition to lower implementation costs through integrated software RAID functionality (0, 1, 5, and 6), which makes it an ideal solution for the SOHO and SMB market. “Open-E NAS-XSR” is also suitable for high-availability environments since it allows high-performance systems to be designed with more redundancy with the help of the software RAID feature (through mirroring hardware RAID level 5 systems).
Also during CeBIT, Open-E will give out 10,000 free bootable demo CDs which can be used for the immediate setup of an iSCSI storage system. Once volumes have been defined, users can test the software for 30 days at no cost to find out what the product has to offer.
The “Open-E iSCSI Enterprise” trial software can be easily replaced at any time using a flash module containing pre-installed official software. There is no need to uninstall the trial software or to perform a new installation.
