Open-E Certifies Intel® Storage System SSR212CC

Puchheim, Germany, Sept. 29th, 2006 – Open-E, a leading developer of NAS and iSCSI software, today announced of the addition of Intel® Storage System SSR212CC to its extensive software compatibility list. This addition signifies that both the Open-E NAS-XSR (v. 3.08) and the Open-E iSCSI (v.1.69) software packages optimally support the Intel storage system.

Storage Developers and System Integrators requiring a complete storage system, can build one from individual components, buy an off-the-shelf solution, or choose a mixture of these two approaches. The Intel® Storage System SSR212CC is a complete hardware solution with an integrated RAID controller that combines with Open-E storage software (NAS/iSCSI) to make a powerful, coordinated storage system. All that is needed to easily manage up to 6 Terabytes of storage capacity is the addition of hard drives and random access memory (RAM).
